Following our 'Tread Lightly Caravan' experience the students of Room 7 decided to make a pledge. Change begins with one step in the right direction......we will all make a difference to save our planet Earth.

In the Weekends

On Saturday, 11 May 2013, My sister and I woke up and got changed, and then we went to say good morning to my mother.  After that, we had breakfast and then we went to music school. My sister and I play the violin.

Then, we went back home to put our instruments away. After a while, we went out again, but this time it was to church. I was wearing a dress, and we drove to church in a car. When we got there, we went to say hello to everyone.  

After that, we walked to our baby cousin, Rylie.  Then we said bye to him, but he didn't want us to leave, so he started following us back to our seats and then he started jumping up and down and he was giggling as well. Next we started pulling funny faces. Then we went to the foyer of the entrances and then I started chasing him and then his father Chris, and his uncle, Frank came.   Chris had dark black eyes and he had a short haircut and Frank had brown eyes and his hair was also short (they’re brothers) then Rylie ran to him and then we all went back to our seats.

A few minutes after that, the mothers day service finished, the church was decorated with flowers and candles and so we went to the back and we had lunch.  Most of the conversation was to the mothers, After we had finished eating, cake ,marshmallows and Ice cream, I took my cousin out to play for a little while.  After a while, we all left.

I enjoyed my day because I had fun and I got to celebrate mothers day with everyone.

My holiday recount

My Holiday Recount:

In the holidays, my sister and I went to my grandparent's house. At my grandparent’s house, my sister and I went to the library with my younger cousin. I also made pancakes with my sister and when I went back to my Mum and Dad’s house, we made pancakes again.

The pancakes were nice and sweet. Then we turned the T.V on and we watched the game, (the warriors were playing).  Then the warriors won and we were happy and we celebrated.

I had fun and I enjoyed my holiday,but I also wanted to go back to school.

At Glenbrae School we have revisited our School Treaty and as part of this exercise all classes are working on 'a book about hands'. We are looking at positive ways in which hands can be used. My Narrative

LI:To use language features to paint a picture in the mind of the reader and write in paragraphs.

The full moon shone brightly in the night summer sky, stars twinkled like a million fairy lights and a young man named Harry and his two best friends, Hermione and Percy’s train came to a screech and pulled itself into the station.  This was how they used to travel when they were younger.

   Harry, Hermione and Percy were wearing their  robes and cloaks. Hermione’s brown, curly hair magically tidy, made her look as pretty as a picture. Harry was wearing round glasses and his messy hair covering his lightning scar on his forehead.  Percy’s red hair was also magically tidy (with Brotts and sons tidy hair potion by Mr.Brotts and his sons).

Then they walked to the great hall and then they knocked once and then Albus Dumbledore opened the door and said: “Hello Harry,Hermione and Percy.  How was your journey? Come in come in.”  The headmaster was wearing long gold and silver robes with matching gold and silver stars, and his long,several feet of wispy silver hair was carefully, magically tied with the 4 hogwarts colors:Hufflepuff,Ravenclaw,
Gryffindor and Slytherin.

“Hello Professor Dumbledore” they said as they eyes glanced over him. He sounded like a large, tall man with a voice as loud as a karaoke machine turned up. But as then another surprise greeted them.  They were professors Lupin, Snape, Mcgonagall, Mad Eye Moody and Hagrid.   “Hello Professors” they said.  “What are you doing he..” said professor Snape in his most poisonous voice.  “They’re here to help Severus, they’re not students anymore, Come, lets all go to the the Great Hall, there’s a delicious feast there in your honour for coming, we’ll discuss the plan over dinner” announced Dumbledore.

On the way there however,Nearly Headless Nick,the Gryffindor ghost came towards the group with a message from Professor Flitwick.

The message was:Professors’ you need to come to the Great Hall,You-Know- who is here and I won’t be able to fight him myself,I am a charms teacher: so come with your wands and a few spells so we will be able to defeat him.

Thanks.

So then they ran all the way there,wands in their hands ready to kill Voldemort  and then they barged into the Great Hall and raised their wands and shouted the same spell behind Lord Voldemort's back:he turned,but too late: Avada Kedavra and he went up in the air and for a moment he screamed and then he fell to the ground but he was already dead before he landed with a Thump! on the ground.

And Once he fell to the ground dead,everyone he killed came back to life including Harry Potter’s Mum and Dad,Lily and James potter was once reunited with their son Harry Potter:The Boy Who Survived.
