The Honest Truth

Today, I finished off the book I got from the school library. It is called The Honest Truth, and it was written by Dan Gemeinhart. It was a really cool book. I really enjoyed reading it. It is about a 12 year old boy named Mark who was diagnosed with cancer when he was only 4-5 years old. He fought to get rid of the cancer, and it left. But when it came back, he had enough of the hospitals, the treatments, and he felt that he didn't have much time left to live. So he made a plan and decided to leave home. He wanted to climb the famous Mount Rainier, even if he died. He took is dog Beau on the journey, and they went through a lot during this journey. This book was full of heartbreak, sadness and risk. I really enjoyed reading it. Three words to describe this book would probably be Inspiring, heartbreaking and adventurous.
