Child Abuse Report

This report is about Child Abuse. Statistics show that Child Abuse is not decreasing, but increasing. We want to find a way to make it stop.

The government have made a new law that makes Child Abuse illegal, but some parents do it anyways. Some parents think of it as not breaking the law, but disciplining their children. I’m not a parent, but I think they’re doing it the wrong way. Disciplining children does not mean putting them in a hospital ward because they did something wrong.

One way of how child abuse has been learnt is that the children learnt being hurt from their parents whenever they did something wrong, and when they’d have children, they’d abuse their children too. Then their children would pick it up and start treating their children that way, unless they know it's wrong, and refuses to abuse.

Statistics show that from 2007 to 2011, approximately 850 children aged from 0-14 were admitted to hospital with injuries arising from either assault, neglect or maltreatment. Their injuries ranged from serious head trauma to broken legs.

Child abuse is a very dangerous crime, and the government needs to do something about it. Child abuse needs to stop because children are getting hurt, some even killed.
